Cool

So I was at the Bradenton race this past weekend and I got a whole bunch of pics, movies, vidoes..oh yes and a little to much sun haha. But anyway, I ran into John owner of LHTperformance. And well he let me snap a few pics of his intercooler setup. And of course you guys are the first people I thought of. so enjoy!!

well I guess thats about it for now. I think its a great design, and appears to work very well, and with john bringing the price down its also a pretty good bargain.

I do have one or two issues with it.. but thats just me, for my application I don't think it will work unfortunatly, so I am building my own. But for most of you out there it should work great.

Nice pics Jon.
I would really like to see one of these systems tested at the 1/4 mile...

I agree with JRcivic.

So the radiator thingy (heat exchanger) sits out like a front mounted unit? I didn't know that.

Torque curves don't just magically flatten out like that...

I'm a skeptic. 1/4 mile times... yep, that's what we need.

P.S. Thanks for the picts! Nice.

Wow you guys are so demanding haha
at first was all I hear is "I need before and after dyno results" now its before and after 1/4.

goodness.

ok ok well here it is I am currently working on my own aftercooler design. I have seem to hit a wall at the track with a 13.1. I am sure I should be able to make a 12.9.......but lets just say a 13 flat..ok so what we will do is run it at the track when I am done with it and see what is the difference then. The design will be similar to LHT's. But It needs to be a tad different due to my...ahem future expansion. I will take pics of the process.

John did mention to me that he did try out several different heat exchangers till he found one that could keep up. like oil coolers and so forth. but so far this one works great he said.

Here's my recent Dyno tune. The torque curve seems pretty flat to me

Is that before or after the intercooler was installed?

No intercooler yet.....

I'm REALLY considering it right now

Here's a link to the fabrication process of LHT's intercooler.
